The aim of this ambitious project is to create a hotel establishment and a high altitude training centre. It welcomes high-level athletes preparing for Olympic competitions and all types of athletes in the off-season under the same conditions. At the same time, it must be able to train young athletes with classrooms, a library and seminar areas. To meet the high performance labels, the building is at the cutting edge of technology in terms of thermal comfort, acoustics and lighting, all chosen according to environmental criteria. This iconic architecture integrates the equipment in a dense and strong stone base, and the accommodation rooms in a light and dancing volume, made of wood and glass, taking advantage of the multiple orientations and a maximum of sunshine. We provide outdoor lighting and lighting for the training centre by developing circadian lighting under the direction of researcher Steven W. Lockley PhD, in order to reinforce sports preparation through attention and sleep quality.
