Maes en Boereboomplein

The city of Knokke-Heist has undertaken a major redevelopment project in the Maes district of Boereboomplein. In this context, alongside architects and landscape designers, we are designing the illumination of the public spaces and the community building. The lighting of the market square respects the night with very low ULORs. The community building is treated as a night signal whose multiple shades reflect the diversity of its uses (housing, auditorium, police station, library, restaurant …). The integrated LEDs do not distort the facades during the day and give a complete and balanced reading of the building’s volume. The lighting of the balconies preserves the comfort of the inhabitants. Our mission includes the interior illumination of the building. ©Jakob & MacFarlane
