As part of our mission as a lighting designer in collaboration with Virginie Voué, from the Luminescence agency, we proposed to the city of Rennes to renovate the lighting in the city centre. It was in this context that we came up with this custom-made mask designed by Virginie Voué, which adorns the luminaires in the alleys of the historic centre of Rennes. The mask, whose «fern branch» motif evokes that of the half-timbered houses, echoes the city’s identity. The system for attaching it to the catenary has also been specifically designed to adapt to the hanging systems in the narrow streets of the district, in collaboration with the services of the city and the manufacturer.
