Gare de Lyon-Daumesnil project
Lighting design for the public spaces of an SNCF right-of-way dedicated to diversifying and becoming a mixed neighbourhood. If some emblematic buildings are preserved to create a link with the existing, this new district offers an urban living environment that allows the railway, tertiary and residential functions to coexist. The neighbourhood will be organised around a central, unifying public space. Topography is modified seeking to eliminate this feeling of this central platform in isolation, and to reconnect to the existing urban fabric. Urban operations are framed by a lighting CPAUPE so that public and private spaces benefit from each other. The lighting project emphasizes soft circulation, highlights important architecture, and strives to preserve biodiversity at night.
