Halle de la Bocca, Place Roubaud and its surruondings in Cannes
The design of the square intends to embellish the district. The project’s architecture and exterior design aim to reinforce the perception of the North-South axis and to demonstrate a unity of space between the first and second phases of the Place Roubaud development. Light follows the same movement: it offers an extension of the lighting of public spaces and new plays of light. The Halle de la Bocca houses the covered market and local public services. Designed as a covered agora, its aerial architecture in wood and metal is sensitive and adapted to the climate of the Côte d’Azur. It brings together a variety of spaces and uses so that all citizens can enjoy a lively and animated city centre. It is becoming a new attraction in the district, both day and night.
