Knoll Pavilion
The Knoll pavilion at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, designed by OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen, takes up the architectural codes of modernism and brings architecture and structure together in a transparent and fluid space. Organised according to a grid that leaves room for the iconic Knolls, the space reconciles the functions of daily life and work in the home. With recycled and recyclable materials, a structure that can be disassembled and reused, and the presence of nature, the pavilion is all about sustainability. The lighting, which varies according to the time of day, adapts to this minimalist architectural spirit and enhances the furniture presented. The visitor finds the scale of the house according to Knoll, reflective and neutral in colour, where the intimate and open spaces propose a technological and sustainable vision of our time. © Bas Princen, courtesy of Knoll
