Built in 1982, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Algerian independence, the Maqam E’chahid (Martyr’s Memorial), overlooking Algiers, was the subject of a call for tender in the spring of 2017 to renovate its illumination, which was won by Comatelec-Schreder. Les éclaireurs are in charge of the operation, from the photometric studies to the adjustments and complete programming of the scenarios. Conducted in a record time of two months, this colossal project was carried out in a “plug n’ play” spirit. It enabled the rehabilitation of this national symbol and made it visible up to 35 km into the Bay of Algiers.
