Promenade du Paillon, le MAMAC

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the city of Nice is at the heart of the rehabilitation project of the second Promenade du Paillon in Nice. The lighting project of this building enhances the interior light. The glazed spaces diffuse a white light - neutral - towards the outside, and which is read through the facades and the glazed spaces, like a lantern in the city. From the Passerelle des Arts and the Garibaldi Crossing, the interior of the building shines on the heart of the MAMAC. At the beginning of the night, if the museum is closed, a low-powered standby light allows the interior volume of the building to continue to exist - while respecting the amount of light tolerated by the works. As a complement, a very soft veil of light materializes the façade.
