Techn'hom mixed development zone

Lighting design for Techn’hom site in the context of the former Bull factories conversion and the improvement of the present Alstom industrial site. The lighting work consisted in three key elements: as a show-case for the whole site, the existing translucent façades are highlighted and display the site’s history (using pictures from archives); in the ancient heart of the site, the lighting creates a warm atmosphere and enlivens the brick-red color of the former factories; the lighting also connects this area to the rest of the city by creating a nightlife in the site.
Specific light poles were used on the routes for non-motorized transport. The lighting of the lake shores, stairs and pontoon guides the site’s user as well as the surrounding inhabitants in their night strolls.
The buildings lighting results in geometrical lines and blades of light; it is provided by functional light poles, which enable to limit both maintenance and vandalism. Parking lots around the site are bathed in bluish shades, so as to be perceived as a background at night. This enhances the orangey façades of the former factories even more. We designed a range of specific light poles, as we do for all our projects, in order to support different types of lighting devices and limit the amount of additional street furniture (lighting and signal equipment, etc.).
