the Balmes of Saint-Clair

The Balmes of Caluire are a typical Lyonnais walls that support the hillside as well as draining water away from it. Rather than a classic lighting solution, our project underlines the multiple layers of the walls and plays with them. Made of six profile projectors mounted on poles, our project is very efficient in terms of energy and maintenance costs, compared to the surface illuminated. Quite visible from the other bank, specially from the International business center of Lyon, the project seems like a giant tetris game or a constructivist painting.
