Archival preservation is a thorough work of “storage”. The Rhône’s new departmental archives, form three golden volumes, three large beautiful boxes, that express the great value of their content.
Designed as part of the “1% art project” (commissioned works for public buildings), our project vibrates the precious material of the facades, while cold light baths the top levels of the building glass. At the heart of the building, the facades are supports of dynamic video projection, blends images of gilding and shining metal skins. © Renaud Araud
